Beer52 is the largest independent buyer of craft beer in the UK, with longstanding and intimate relationships with several hundred leading brewers from across the globe.

Delivered along with our magazine, Ferment, we have helped more than a million people to explore the exciting world of craft beer. Now, we’re branching into wine with Wine52 and launching a disruptive new concept with an ambitious plan for scale.

With a team of over 80, based mainly at our Edinburgh HQ, we are one of the UK’s fastest-growing and most exciting start-ups.

We’re all passionate about craft alcohol and it’s our mission to build the most exciting drinks clubs for our members. To achieve this, we have built a super talented and inclusive team, a great place to work and industry-leading technology and marketing that have secured our position as №1 at what we do.

About the Role

We are looking for an ECommerce Manager to work with others across the business to lead growth within Beer52’s already well-established online shop. Utilising Beer52’s knowledge and understanding of craft beer, and now wine, the online shop is an important part of Beer52’s business.

The online shop curates Beer52’s range of craft beers and wine in an attractive and accessible format for subscribers and others to buy.

  • Drive consumers to the website through utilising market best practice for customer acquisition, working closely with the CMO and digital marketing team to devise marketing campaigns and activity
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery into our warehouse and reliable stock availability, working closely with the logistics team and COO

About You

You should be very organised, analytical, and enjoy solving problems, with a strong attention to detail, ability to pitch our concept to brand partners and negotiate with suppliers.

You will have the confidence to refine and implement the online shop strategy, being data led and working closely with other parts of the business overseeing all aspects of the online shop.

You must have an understanding and some prior experience of

  • Analysing data to inform decision making, including in stock selection and pricing
  • Onboarding new suppliers and managing a consumer retailer product range
  • The principles of digital marketing, online customer acquisition and CRM marketing
  • The key metrics used within ecommerce, including CAC, conversion, AOV and repeat purchase rate

You will be passionate about the products we sell and in delivering a best-in-class experience to our customers.

We are a high growth company in a competitive market — you will be comfortable with this pressure to offer the most exciting beers and wines at a competitive price point, whilst delivering an excellent customer experience. You will plan carefully to drive growth whilst optimising margins.

As a business, we have high ambitions for growth. The online shop is an important part of Beer52’s business, as such this offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career.
