About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to strategically plan and manage the logistics/transportation of beer and wine orders inline with business requirements.

You’ll be responsible for everything that comes in and goes out of our 3PL warehouse, from importing beer, wine and snacks from across the world on strict deadlines, to monitoring final mile deliveries to each of our 200,000 UK members.

Every 4 weeks our members are sent a new set of craft beer or selection of wine based on a theme. This month it’s London and in previous months we’ve done Chicago, Croatia, Yorkshire, Melbourne and Ireland. On the wine front, we’ve recently sent out bottles from Valencia, Sicily and Romania, with more exciting regions to come. You’ll be responsible for everything that comes in and everything that goes out including collecting from our suppliers, to delivering to our customers.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with other departments to coordinate the full order cycle with suppliers globally, meeting business operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

We’re looking for a highly motivated and efficient person with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask. It’s essential that you’re extremely organised and have a very good eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a plan to ensure all goods are delivered in advance of the theme live date by liaising with our buyers, brewery partners, wine suppliers, freight forwarders and 3PL warehouse.
  • Work closely with our brewery, vineyard and freight partners to ensure all stakeholders understand the schedule, requirements and process for each transaction. Check all customs paperwork is correct and completed on time, pallets are packed and loaded within the specifications set out with accompanying documentation affixed including packing slips.
  • Negotiate optimal rates and shipping solutions with freight partners, identifying opportunities to reduce future freight costs.
  • Support and advise suppliers through the export process.
  • Approve all outbound freight invoices in line with agreed rates and service levels.
  • Manage carrier collections from 3PL in line with forecast and 3PL production output.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with Carriers and Suppliers to ensure continuity of materials and services.
  • Monitor live final mile deliveries to our members on a daily basis, taking appropriate action in each case. Development of dashboard required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customers’ future delivery experience.
  • Raise queries with our data team based on your final mile insights, making recommendations to the Operations team based on results.
  • Prepare and present ‘logistics’ data monthly for the metrics board.

Experience Needed:

  • At least 2 years experience within the Logistics industry
  • Knowledge of UK alcohol import Laws and Regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving
